Emma Thompson, Sam Taylor-Wood named Women Of The Year

LONDON - Emma Thompson, Florence Welch and Sam Taylor-Wood have received Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards.
‘Nanny McPhee’ actress Thompson bagged a gong for Role Model of the Year for her work as an actress, producer, writer and activist, campaigning for victims of abuse, torture and rape, reports the Telegraph.
‘Florence And The Machine’ singer Welch landed Breakthrough of the Year title, while artist-turned-film director Taylor-Wood won Renaissance Woman of the Year award at the London event.
Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s wife Sarah was named an International Woman of Influence.
