Boyle doesn’t think ‘England can top Beijing at 2012 Olympic Games’

LONDON - ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ director Danny Boyle doesn’t think that England could one-up Beijing in the 2012 Olympic Games.
Boyle has vowed to go ‘back to basics’ as he oversees the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics; however he’s totally convinced that nothing can top Beijing’s spectacular celebrations.
The Slumdog Millionaire director leads the committee to stage the event which kick-starts the sporting ceremony.
But the Oscar winning director is not expecting Britain’s bash to rival Beijing’s colourful carnival atmosphere from 2008.
“We’re trying to do something different, because I don’t think England could quite top Beijing. It would be foolish to try because it was such a massive thing,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling the Evening Standard.
“So we’re going to start again really and go back to basics. What’s most important is not the opening ceremony. It’s the Games that follow it,” Boyle added. (ANI)
