Cheryl Cole grabs top spot on music chart

LONDON - ‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl Cole has made it to number one position after the singer sold 1,57,000 copies of her solo single album ‘Promise This’, according to the Official Charts Company.

‘Promise This’ is her second number one solo single, following last year’s debut release ‘Fight For This Love’, The Telegraph reports.

And it was the highest first week sales of 2010 for a non-charity single.

The record was also broken by Rihanna who sold 126,000 copies of ‘Only Girl’ (In The World), which entered the singles chart at number two. (ANI)
