WASHINGTON - Take That band has been left surprised after fans snapped up more than a million tickets in a day for their 2011 European tour.
The tickets had gone on sale early on Friday (29Oct10) and agents struggled to keep up to the fan’s unprecedented demand.
“We are speechless, truly and utterly shocked. This is the most amazing news for all of us. To sell one million tickets in a day is mind blowing and we think we’ll be in shock for a few days,” Contactmusic quoted singer Gary Barlow as saying.
As a result of the ticket rush, the group has added more dates at venues including the City Of Manchester Stadium and London’s Wembley Stadium.
The tour will begin in Sunderland, England on 30 May (11). (ANI)
