SANYA - Miss India World Manasvi Mamgai’s bid for the coveted Miss World 2010 crown came to an end Saturday evening in China’s Sanya city, as she crashed out of the pageant and failed to make it to the top 25.

The 22-year-old Indian beauty vying for the crown at the 60th edition of the Miss World contest was dressed in a white-blue evening gown.

The gala event kicked off with a traditional Chinese folk dance, followed by the introduction of the Miss World contestants.

The contestants set the stage on fire with an act aptly titled Dances of the World. Manasvi, dressed in traditional Indian attire, performed a classical dance on “Dhai Shyam Rok Lai” of “Devdas” (2002).

The jury included former Miss World winners - Denise Perrier Lanfranchi (1953), Ann Sidney (1964), Mary Stvin (1977), Agbani Darego (2001) and Maria Julia Mantilla (2004).
