Celine Dion says she was originally carrying triplets

LONDON - Pop singer Celine Dion, who recently gave birth to twins, has revealed that she was earlier pregnant with triplets.

The 42-year-old lost one of her babies early in the pregnancy before giving birth to premature but healthy boys Eddy and Nelson.

Dion and her husband Rene Angelil opened up about their painful experience in an interview with a French news station.

“He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

The couple has been open about their long struggle to conceive and underwent six attempts at in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 12 months.

The star, who is said to have been released from hospital, also said she is ‘brimming with energy.’ (ANI)
