Lady Gaga postpones French gigs over pension strikes
By ANIFriday, October 22, 2010
LONDON - Lady Gaga has postponed her gigs in France until December.
The move comes because of ‘logistical difficulties’ caused by the ongoing strikes over pension reforms.
A statement posted on her website said the dates were being moved because there “is no certainty that the trucks” would be able to get to the venue, reports the BBC.
Protesters are angry over plans to raise the retirement age to 62.
The pop star had been due to perform in Paris at Bercy on 22 and 23 October.
Those dates have now been rescheduled for 19 and 20 December.
The statement added that Lady Gaga apologises to her fans for the inconvenience. (ANI)
