Campbell ‘felt she was on trial while testifying at war crimes tribunal’

WASHINGTON - Naomi Campbell says she felt as if she was on trial instead of Liberian warlord Charles Taylor’s, when she testified at an international war crimes tribunal this summer.
The supermodel described taking the stand in The Hague to describe receiving alleged ‘blood diamonds’ from apparent henchmen of the former dictator.
“I felt like I was on trial myself-and this was not my trial,” ABC News quoted her as telling Interview magazine.
However, Campbell also admitted that she regrets the blunder she made while on the stand.
When a judge asked if she was nervous, she replied that testifying was an ‘inconvenience.’
Campbell told the mag that she regrets using that word. “That was wrong and I’ll take that,” she confessed. (ANI)
