LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- “The Biggest Loser“ season 10 was premiered on NBC, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sep 21 and like its previous season this season premier was also able to grab the attention of the viewers. The change in format of the show made it all the more interesting. Unlike the last few seasons, this time, the tasks will be performed by the contestants in singles. The number of participants have also been curtailed to 21. The Premier of “The Biggest Loser” had an enthusiastic start with trainer Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper and host Alison Sweeney traveling to seven different cities in United States selecting the first fourteen contestants. The theme of “The Biggest Loser” for this season is “paying it forward”, where the contestants have to pay a lot more than any previous season, in order to lose their weight. “The Biggest Loser” Season 10 opened with montage of gloom-and-doom sound bytes warning about the rising rate of obesity in the country.

The fourteen contestants, who were selected in the Premier of “The Biggest Loser” are Alfredo Dinten, Elizabeth Ruiz and Brendan Donovan from Boston; Alexanndrea Ishcomer, Lisa Mosely and Sandy Dolan from Oklahoma; Mark Pinhasovich, Jessica Delfs and Shanna Masten from Phoenix; Anna Wright, Rick DeRoque and Patrick House from Atlanta; Mike Morelli, Burgandy Keel, Corey Pinkerton from Portland; Adam Hurtado, Ada Wong and Montina Cooper from Los Angeles; Jesse Atkins, Sophia Franklin, Aaron Thompkins from Detroit. Most of them weighs above 200 pounds.

Although “The Biggest Loser” is one of the most popular television reality shows, with nine successful seasons, it may have to face tough competition from another popular television series, “Glee”, as both the shows are aired concurrently on two most popular channels. The possibility of this sharp competition has prompted “Glee” to change its time of broadcast.
