VISTA (GaeaTimes.com)- Shelley Malil, was arrested in 2008 for attempted murder of his ex- girlfriend Kendra Beebe. The media reports that Kendra Beebe was stabbed brutally 20 times in San Marcos, California. The jury in San Diego County Superior Court in Vista, California convicted him yesterday of an attempted murder and also guilty of assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing Kendra Beebe.

Shelley Malil was also convicted of domestic violence. However, he was not found guilty of residential burglary. “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” actor will face a possible sentence of 21 years to life in prison. A reputed media source reported that he will be sentenced in November. This new seemed to have given some solace to Kendra Beebe as she was seen hugging her best friend after the judge read the verdict. When asked she said that she feels a sense of relief. She even added that there can never be a “win” in a situation like this.

However, Kendra Beebe added that she was afraid initially because Shelley Malil was an actor and owing to his fame people might believe his “bad theatrics”. Kendra Beebe said that she is pleased to see the justice system did its job properly. The ex-girlfriend of Shelley Malil said that her body was covered with scars but even then she has been able to return to her favorite sport “surfing”. Previously Defence lawyer Matthew Roberts told the jurors that his client did not intend to kill Kendra Beebe. Shelley Malil is presently in San Diego Jail and he will remain held without bail until November 18, 2010.
