September 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Malayalam film’s megastar Mammootty starrer big budget movie Vande Matharam has postponed its release date. The movie was set to release on September 10th but now it has been delayed by one week as the prints of the film could not be delivered to the charted theatres due to some financial problems.
Vande Matharam is said to be a hi-fi action thriller movie, which has Arjun and Sneha in the lead roles. Atul Kulkarni, Kalabhavan Mani, Nassar and Sharada Arya also play important roles in this D Aravind directed movie.
The story of the movie revolves around the terror outfits in south India. The problem of farmers’ deaths is also highlighted in this movie in which superstar Mammootty and Arjun play the role of police officers. It is a bilingual movie, which comes in Tamil and Malayalam and has music by Imman.
Even though the name suggests the movie to be a patriotic one, it is actually an investigative thriller. It will be full of action scenes with fighting kicks, flying fists, gun firings and somersault assaults.
In the meantime, another Mammootty starrer movie Pranchiyettan And The Saint got released on ‘Ramazan’ in 65 theaters. Hope the movie is not delayed further and entertains the viewers with Mammootty’s extra ordinary performances!
