Salman a guiding force: Sonu Sood (Film Snippets)

MUMBAI - Actor Sonu Sood, who plays a pivotal role in “Dabangg”, says he had fun shooting with Salman Khan who was like a guiding force.

“Salman is a very cool person. He always encourages you. We used to work out together, so he used to tell me a lot about exercising and fitness. On the whole, since he is a more experienced actors, he was like a guiding force for me,” Sonu told IANS.

The two actors also had a little game going on during the shoot of the film.

“I am a vegetarian and Salman a non-vegetarian. He really wants me to convert to a non-vegetarian, so a lot of times he used to secretly put chicken or mutton pieces on my plate and would tell me to eat it.

“Similarly, I used to force him to eat more vegetarian dishes. So this game of ours used to keep carrying on,” he added.

“Dabangg” is slated to release Sep 10.

Singing someone else’s songs a challenge: Shafqat Amanat Ali

Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali, who often composes his own songs, says it’s a challenge to croon a song composed by someone else.

“It is very challenging to sing for someone else’s compositions and someone else’s creation. If you are good enough, have done your homework, you can sing it well, otherwise you are not fit for singing,” the singer told IANS.

In India, Ali is known for songs like “Mitwa” (”Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna”), “Tere naina” (”My Name Is Khan”) and “Bin tere” (”I Hate Luv Storys”).

Sonakshi loves her mom’s ‘S’ earrings

Yesteryear actor Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi says she loves wearing her mom’s jewellery.

“I love wearing my mom’s jewellery, specially a pair of earrings and a ring that have the letter ‘S’ on them. That’s my favourite,” said the budding actress.

Sonakshi is making her debut opposite Salman Khan in “Dabangg”.
