Malayalam Dracula To Be Made In 3D

September 8, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Hollywood horror movie ‘Dracula’, which has shocked viewers many times, is now being made in Malayalam language. Roopesh Paul will be directing the Malayalam version of the movie, which will be made in 3D.
The I-max 3D fusion technology has become very popular recently after the success of international hit movie ‘Avatar’. Preman Ponthen and Sajeev Menon will be producing the Malayalam version of the all time horror flick Dracula under the Cinema Variety and Christian Brothers.
In 1897, the novel Dracula was written by Bram Stoker and it became hugely popular. His Dracula was fond of drinking blood. The Malayalam version of Dracula is a blood thirsty womanizer. The spirit of Dracula will be shown entering the body of a Kerala based forensic surgeon. The rest part of the story will show the turmoil that he creates in people.
The movie’s cast and technical crew will include both Indian and foreign artistes. The camera will be wielded by Antonio Rui Riverio, an UK- based cinematographer. The music will be composed by Sreevalsan J. Menon and K. Jayakumar and Rafeeq Ahmed will be writing the lyrics. Oscar Awrad winner Resul Pookkutty will be doing the sound recording.
The budget of the movie will be within Rs 10 crores.
