September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has celebrated one of the most beautiful birthdays of his life when he turned 34 on Friday. The actor, who got engaged to the Bangalore-based Priyanka Alva, has celebrated his first birthday after his engagement.

The actor has celebrated this birthday with his fiancé and nothing better than this he could have asked for this year.

Sharing his feelings on his 34th birthday, Vivek posted some lines on his Twitter page. He wrote that he has celebrated the birthday with his family, friends and his amazing fans as these people have made him the person what he is now. Adding to this, he referred to Priyanka said that she is the beautiful spirit, who is going to be his wife and who would help him to make everything possible what he could be in future.

The couple would tie the knot on October 29. Vivek’s would be wife is the daughter of renowned danseuse Nandini Alva and late Jeevaraj Alva, who was a Janata Dal (U) leader. Priyanka has completed her studies in London and is now associated with an NGO called ‘Artistes Foundation for Arts’.

The actor also turned very philosophical when he stated that meaning of birthday changes with a person’s age. The actor was quoted stating that for the kids, birthday is a time when they look forward to a yummy cake, party and lots of gifts and for a teenager its getting closer to independence and the little older ones wonder why can’t they go back to their childhood days. The actor added that for a person in mid-life, the birthdays come like a time when they feel as if it never existed and for old people its celebrating life again.
