September 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Kannada audiences have four options today, as four films are releasing out of which the main two contenders are Yogaraj Bhat’s ‘Pancharangi’ and director K Madesh’s ‘Kari Chirathe’, the latter one has two heroines Sharmila Mandre and Yagna Shetty and Vijay plays the role of a mentally sick man.
The other two films to be released today are Vinod Alva’s ‘Onti Mane’ and director Daivagna’s ‘Naradha Vijaya’.
Yogaraj Bhat, the producer and director of ‘Pancharangi’, received the ‘Filmfare Award for Best Director’ for his 2006 Kannada movie ‘Mungaru Male’. Following this, the director has given two other hits in ‘Gaalipata’ and ‘Manasaare’ in 2008 and 2009 respectively. So, Yograj’s new movie ‘Pancharangi’ starring Diganth and Nidhi Subbaiah in the lead roles is also expected to be another super hit. Diganth was the lead actor in the director’s previous movies as well.
‘Pancharangi’ has been shot widely in the Karavali region of Karnataka and has music by brilliant music director Mano Murthy. The song ‘Life Ishtene’ from the movie has already become a rage. The story and screenplay of the movie has been jointly written by Pawan Kumar with the director Yogaraj Bhat. The dialogues are written by Yograj himself. Johny Harsha has edited the movie and camera is handled by Thyagarajan.
There will be 75 shows a day in Bangalore and total 175 shows in other parts of the state.
However, ‘Pancharangi’ will face a good competition from ‘Kari Chirathe’, which has been directed by K Madesh. The director’s last three films were super hits. It has booked 80 theaters in Karnataka and about 300 shows per day, reflects the popularity of Vijay and director Madesh.
