September 2, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Veteran Malayalam filmmaker Fazil, who is known for making some memorable films with newcomers in the vital roles, is again planning a new movie with newcomers Hemanth and Srilekha.
Some of the noted films of Fazil those did well with newcomers are, ‘Nokkathaa Dhoorathu Kannum Nattu’, ‘Manjil Virinja Pookal’ and ‘Aniyathi Pravu’. Kunchacko Boban, who is now an established actor in Mollywood, debuted with Fazil’s ‘Aniyathi Pravu’ in 1997 with Shalini Kumar. The film made record collections at the box office. Fazil also gave break to superstar Mohanlal in his film ‘Manjil Virinja Pookkal’ in 1980.
‘Moz and Cat’, the last Malayalam film of Fazil starring Dileep and Rahman in lead roles, could not do well at the box office. This has made Fazil to go for his old formula of signing newcomers and try something new as per the current trend.
The new film of Fazil is titled ‘Living Together’, which has Kalpana, KPAC Lalitha and Anoop Chandran in important roles. The movie will deal with the new generation and their perception about human relationships. The shooting for the movie has already started in Changnassery in Kerala. Anandhakuttan is handling the camera like he had done in many other earlier movies of Fazil. However, Ilayaraja, who is a regular music director of most of his films, has been replaced by M. Jayachandran.
A politician named Pilakkandi Mohammed Bashir, is producing ‘ Living Together’ under the banner Pilakkandi Films.
