LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Former Guns ‘N’ Roses rocker Slash and his wife Perla Ferrar have taken the decision to go their separate ways. The celebrated guitarist has filed for divorce from his wife of nine years Perla Ferrar on Monday while the couple is reported to have refrained from signing a prenuptial agreement when they exchanged vows in the year 2001. The pair also has two children, eight-year-old son London Emilio and a younger son, Cash Anthony who is six-years-old.

According to the documents that have been filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, Slash is seeking the joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s two kids. At the same time, the 45-year-old rocker has also given his consent to pay for the spousal support after splitting from wife Perla Ferrar and the reason for their separation has been explained as irreconcilable differences. As of now, details about why the pair decided to call it quits has not been forthcoming although a source has revealed to a gossip website that “the breakup is extremely acrimonious.” The former Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist’s attorney, Laura Wasser, who is known to have dealt with the dissolution of a host of celebrities such as Kiefer Sutherland, Britney Spears as well as Angelina Jolie, has also not expressed his views in this regard.

Slash’s marriage to Perla Ferrar was his second after he and her former actress wife Renee Suran divorced each other following five years of marriage. The famed guitarist tied the knot once again in October 2001 after he reportedly met Perla Ferrar for the very first time at one of the Guns ‘N’ Roses’ concert.
