HOBOKEN (GaeaTimes.com)- “Cake Boss” co-star Remy Gonzalez has been arrested on August 18, 2010. The reality television actor who makes cakes for his living has been arrested for a number of sex assault charges on minor. The “Cake Boss” regular is currently being held at Morris County Jail in New Jersey.

The media reports that Remy Gonzalez is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, criminal sexual assault and also endangering the welfare of a child. The police has not disclosed the details of the alleged crimes yet. A reputed media source reported that one of the law enforcement officials in Morris County refused to comment about how old the child is as he claims that the information is “sealed”. However, this news came as a shock to the members of “Cake Boss” family and it sees that is surely going to affect the popularity of the show as well. The “Cake Boss” members have not commented anything about Rene Gonzalez’s arrest and has asked for privacy from the media. The media reports that Remy Gonzalez is unable to pay his $300,000 bail and is still behind the bars.

Remy Gonzalez is married to “Cake Boss” chef Bartolo “Buddy” Valastro’s sister Lisa Valastro. He is known as Bartolo “Buddy” Valastro’s left hand and one of the top decorators of the bakery. The media reports that Remy Gonzalez’s hearing is set for September 7. The channel TLC has issued a statement after Remy Gonzalez’s arrest which reads that the channel supports “Buddy” and “Valastro” family during their difficult and challenging time. However, the statement also mentioned that this case does not involve any TLC members, hence the channel will not comment any further regarding the case.
