Nancy Dolman Passes Away at 58

Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) The unfortunate death of Nancy Dolman at the age of 58 years has made whole Hollywood sad. The incident happened last Saturday in their Pacific Palisades home. The reason of her death is mystery till now.
In 2007 she was diagnosed with Cancer. Marc Gurvitz, a representative of Martin Short has confirmed the death on Monday but didn’t mention any cause. Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey said,
Saturday morning, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to an emergency call for medical help at the couple’s Pacific Palisades home, though no one was transported from the residence.
The amazingly talented artist was born in Toronto, Canada back in 1952. She was a graduate in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. During her college days she performed with a rock band named Jesus Christ Superstar. She had also done an album with the rock band at MGM while they were in Los Angeles. In 1972 during her performance days for the Canadian Rock Theatre, she met with Martin Short. But they were not romantically involved as Gilda Radner and Short was dating at that time. Two years after that meeting the couple came closer. After six more years they got married in 1980. Their marriage continued for 30 years untill death broke them apart. Short and Nancy marriage was a unique example in Hollywood standards.
Her first appearance in TV came in 1977 with Custard Pie. Nancy’s role playing had bagged many appraisals. Making a Living, Mann Is Mann and Family in Blue are among her best performances. She came in limelight after performing in Soap and in the comedy serial Saturday Night where she portrayed the character of Ed Grimley. She was awarded for that performance. She also made her appearance in her husband’s show Martin Short: Concert for the North Americas. She was last seen in 1993 at the big screen in Friends of Gilda.
Dolman left behind three children: Katherine Elizabeth (27), Oliver Patrick (24) and Henry (20).
