Music Launch of Arohan Takes Place In Kolkata

August 21, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Director Pinaki Chaudhuri’s upcoming Bengali movie Aarohan has launched its music on Tuesday night in Kolkata in presence of the film’s actress Rituparna Sengupta, who was spotted at a very jovial mood.
Aarohan is about a man of firm principles, who has a strong faith regarding the predictions in his horoscope. The lead role is of a patriarch Suryasekhar Chattopadhyay, essayed by veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee. His take on life is the base of the story, which will show the change of his values when strange turn of events happen in his life.
Speaking about the movie, Rituparna said that Arohan is a very wonderful movie. The actress added she always wished to work on meaningful cinema and Arohan is a good choice for her at this moment.
The director was inspired by an article published in The Telegraph newspaper in 2007 and he has delivered a strong social message through his film. According to him, Soumitra Chatterjee was the only person, who could play this role so perfectly.
Suparnakanti Ghosh, son of renowned musician Nachiketa Ghosh, has scored music for the movie. There are nine songs in this movie, which includes a Nazrulgeeti, a Rabindrasangeet, a Bhatiali song and a modern song featured on popular band Bhoomi.
The music launch event was attended by Soumitra Chatterjee, Suparnakanti Ghosh, Pinaki Chaudhuri, the producer Rani Banerjee, Samadarshi Dutta and Tulika Chatterjee.
Arohan is set to release on August 27.
