Review: Lafangey Parindey is a Flopbuster !

MUMBAI (GaeaTimes.com) — In an era where the South has set trends with upcoming Endhiran, Bollywood’s elite YRF lingers around with lafangeys.
There was a time when Anil Kapoor used to flaunt his tapori look and the audience went all crazy about that. The sands of time have erased the memories of the past. Today’s youth has an altogether different vision. Gopi Puthran’s script fails to relate to the audience of this decade.
If you are looking for the reasons of Yash Raj’s yet another majestic failure after Badmaash Company, well, there are too many to be counted. To start with, both the actors have delivered their worst performances ever. Not to mention the script seems to be yet another 90’s masala movie. Mohit Chauhan’s effort to create magic with Man Lafanga went in vain as the rest of the songs are equally awful and sure to give you a headache. Sham Kaushal presented some of the worst horrid action sequences ever. Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma were the only one who did just with film designing some classy costumes.
It seems that the recent dwindling Yash Raj Banner can be only saved by another
Chak De caliber performance. But looking at the repetoire of the upcoming Yash Raj film that seems to be a very distant thought. It is almost incomprehensible that why Yash Raj films are not promoting the fluff candy love stories they are famous for. They should really stop packaging garbage like Lafangey Parindey as their so called ‘Serious Efforts’. By the looks of the things this will be Pradeep Sarkar’s last film under the Yash Raj Banner. His previous effort Laga Chunri Mein Daag set new standards for a bad movie. But this film has topped his effort to rank as one of the if not “The” worst movie to come out of the Yash Raj Stables. He should not have changed camps from the Vidhu Vinod Chopra productions.
The producers Aashish Singh and Panchali Sarkar are already having chest pains i guess, post the release. One who wants to eradicate couple of hours from their lives is most welcome to watch the movie. The afterglow can’t be predicted they can vary from throbbing headache to nausea. Well, whats more all this comes at the cost of Rs. 300+ if opted for a quality multiplex.
