Kagojer Bou Celebrates Completion Of Shooting

August 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Bappaditya Bandopadhyay’s upcoming Bengali movie Kagojer Bou has completed its shooting and the team has celebrated this by having a cozy party on Monday night.
The movie is based on a story by novelist Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay. It is all about love, desire, passion, lust, betrayal, hate and unstipulated enigma. The movie shows how the wild desire of a person overcomes his feeling of love. One of the lead actors, Joy Sengupta, said that the movie mainly revolves around the politics of a man-woman relationship, where the man feels like treating her as his property. The director, Bappaditya, added that the story is about a shrewd and cunning man, who is ready to do anything to earn money. He has no great faith on ethics and righteousness.
The movie stars actors like Paoli Dam, Rimjhim Gupta, Joy Sengupta, Rahul and the lovely pair of Bengali film industry, Rahul and Priyanka. Shooting of the movie is done at many exotic locales of Kolkata and the serenity of Mandarmoni beaches is also captured in the movie.
Actress Paoli Dham said that it was a wonderful experience to work with everybody on the film.
The celebration party was also attended by the Sri Lankan filmmaker Vimukthi Jayasundara. On this occasion, producer Vinod Lahoti announced that they are launching another Bengali movie, which would be directed by Jayasundara. In 2005, Jayasundara, who won the ‘Caméra d’Or (Golden Camera) award’ at the Cannes for his feature titled ‘The Forsaken Land-Sulanga Enu Pinisa’.
West Bengal-based businessmen Vinod Lahoti and Ram Ratan Lahoti have produced the movie and both are very happy at its successful completion of shooting. The businessman duo wanted to return something back to the city of Kolkata and a movie in the form of entertainment was the best choice for them.
