Fox Shrugs Off Boyfriend’s Split Email

KILL BILL star VIVICA A. FOX saw her love life played out in the media this week (begs09Aug10) after her boyfriend of eight months announced their split in a press release, only to retract the statement hours later.

The actress has been dating a man known only as Slimm, a co-founder of Atlanta, Georgia-based Plush Blue Entertainment, since the start of the year (10) but their romance recently hit the rocks, prompting her beau to publicly declare they were no longer a couple in an email to the press.

The message, sent out on Wednesday (11Aug10), read, “Hey this is Slimm, unfortunately me (sic) and Vivica are no longer dating.

“After eight months, it’s time to go our separate ways. In life you can love and have chemistry with a person, but flaws can sometimes outweigh the relationship. I wish her the best and I know she feels the same. Thanks.”

But Slim appeared to have had a change of heart on Thursday (12Aug10) and followed up on his earlier statement with another media release, in which he apologised for “overreacting instead of letting time take its course”.

He wrote, “I want to clear the air about the rushed statement released yesterday about Vivica and I breaking up. Sometimes a person may act out of anger…

“Vivica is an important part of my life and I would never try to hurt her. Thanks for supporting us as we figure things out.”

And Fox has brushed off the controversy, insisting it was just one of the “ups and downs” of their relationship.

In her own email to the New York Daily News, she writes, “Slimm and I r (sic) fine! All relationships have their ups and their downs. I’m soo (sic) proud that Slimm was man enough to clear up the air. He is a very good man with a great heart!”
