‘Eat Pray Love’: Edited By Apple Software

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The Columbia Pictures film releasing this week, ‘Eat Pray Love‘ which marks the return of award winning actress Julia Roberts to the silver screen after a long hiatus was edited in Apple’s video editing software named Final Cut Pro. The film that generated a fair amount of pre release buzz mainly owing to the presence of the talented Hollywood actress is getting released worldwide. The Cupertino based technology giant Apple posted a page describing the huge task the editing team was subjected to in editing the 70 hours of footage captured in 4 countries into a 2 hour long film within the stipulated time frame.
‘Eat Pray Love‘ based on the bestselling novel of Elizabeth Gilbert shows the character played by Julia Roberts undertaking long quest in search of love and mental peace. Assembling and picking from the vast amount of raw footage turned out to be a daunting task for the film editor Bradley Buecker and his assistants. Bradley Buecker said in an interview that suing Apple’s Final Cut Pro made the task of the editing team easier. The revolutionary background exporting feature of the award-winning software of Apple saved the team in saving time and increasing efficiency of work. Apart from Final Cut Pro, applications like Compressor and Soundtrack Pro were also used in the editing of the film.
‘Eat Pray Love‘ is not the only big banner Hollywood film which benefited from the use of Final Cut Pro. The critically acclaimed film No Country for Old Men was also edited on this platform a few years back.
