NEW YORK - The most expensive musical in history, ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark’, is set to hit Broadway in November.

The 50 million dollar musical, which will have music and lyrics by U2’s Bono and The Edge, will begin previews on November 14, the producers of the comic book-based show have announced.

Julie Taymor will direct the show, which will premiere on Broadway at the Foxwoods Theatre, with the opening night set for December 21, the New York Daily News reported.

The production was set to open six months ago, but work had to be stopped last summer because of financial difficulties.

The show will star rock singer Reeve Carney as Peter Parker, Jennifer Damiano as his girlfriend Mary Jane, and Patrick Page as the villainous Green Goblin. (ANI)
