Fantasia takes overdose after being overwhelmed

New York (GaeaTimes.com) - Former American idol winner Fantasia Barrino’s affair with a married man and the evidence of their illicit affair has thrown her into deep guilt. She consumed overdose medicines.

The GOD fearing and a family person Fantasia were shocked to see the news paper where his Boyfriend’s wife claimed her to be the home wrecker. She was so overwhelmed after the media attention that she took an overdose of aspirin and sleep aid.

Fantasia was in Barbados in November with a married man named Antwaun Cook when they were captured in photos embracing each other or holding hands. It is said that Mr. Cook has 2 children with his wife Paula Cook aged 6 and 2. Mr. Cook is from Fantasia’s home state North Carolina. He is a Charlotte cell phones salesman.

Mrs. Cook has claimed that she got tapes of the singer and her husband having sex. She said that the singer called up her many times finally leading to the separation of their marriage. She now demands child custody, divorce and alimony as well.

Whereas the singer has a different story to tell according to the sources, Mr. Cook said to her that he is unhappy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. He even said that the couple got divorced in late summers of 2009. He told Fantasia that he stays elsewhere.

Believing her boyfriend she went ahead in the relationship. She took him to trips across the country spending lavishly. She wanted him to be present in all the concerts she appeared. The couple got each other’s names tattooed just below their left collar bones.

Now after the charges by the estranged wife she felt guilt for causing so much pain that she over consumed aspirin and a sleep aid. Barrino was admitted to Mercy South Hospital in Pineville at around 9 p.m. She is now treated for exhaustion and dehydration. The injuries are not life threatening so she will be discharged very soon.

According to the police officials this is not being treated as “overdose”. The act has been filed as suicide attempt in the police files. Officials claim her injuries to be serious. So it is hard time for the singer who had been 8 times a nominee for Grammy awards.
