WASHINGTON - R ‘n’ B singer Fantasia Barrino’s father has revealed that his daughter is doing fine after overdosing on aspirin and a sleeping aid.
According to RadarOnline.com, Joseph Barrino had spoken from his home in Greensboro, N.C.
“She’s doing fine,” Us magazine quoted him as saying.
The 26-year-old singer had been rushed to hospital on August 9, and her manager, Brian Dickens, revealed that she is out of danger.
“Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon,” Dickens said.
“Fantasia is a fighter and a survivor. This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured.
“Fantasia will be stronger, smarter, and better for it. Her work has always inspired her and served as a source of strength,” he added.
A North Carolina police report classified her “serious injury” as an attempted suicide. (ANI)
