Foxwoods, Live Nation announce NY theater deal
MASHANTUCKET, Conn. — Foxwoods Resort Casino has opened on Broadway.
The eastern Connecticut casino, run by the Mashantucket Pequot Indians, announced a deal Monday with music company Live Nation that gives Foxwoods the naming rights to the former Hilton Theater — now Foxwoods Theater — on 42nd Street in New York.
The Foxwoods brand will be used on all exterior and interior signs, including the 2,000-seat theater’s sign overlooking 42nd Street and in the theater’s VIP Suite and dress circle lobby.
Foxwoods Theater will be operated by Live Nation. Foxwoods says the arrangement gives it access to the theater for corporate and philanthropic events in addition to tickets to theater performances.
Terms of the multiyear deal were not disclosed.
