LONDON - John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono has warned that Beatles tracks will not be available to download on to iTunes in the near future.
Ono, 77, revealed that the owners of the Beatles rights are in a dispute with Steve Jobs, Apple’s co-founder.
She told owners of iPods and other digital download devices not to expect sales of Beatles music on the service in the near future. Steve Jobs has his own idea and he’s a brilliant guy. There’s just an element that we’re not very happy about. Don’t hold your breath,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
The Beatles rights are held by Apple Corps, which settled a trademark deal with the computer company in 2007, in which Ono, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Olivia Harrison own equal shares. (ANI)
