August 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Malayalam film director Ali Akbar, who has started shooting for his latest venture Achan with the veteran controversial actor Thilakan, is planning to complete the shooting of the movie in two weeks time.

Achan is based on a play of the same name and is an emotional story, written by S. R. Raveendran. Akbar is known for his specialization in making movies with low budget. One of his recent movies was Senior Mandrake, which starred Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadeesh, and Kalpana.

Ali Akbar’s wife Louisiama will be producing Achan and the music will be composed by his daughter. G. Venu Gopal has lent his voice to the songs in the movie.

Media has shown special interest in Achan because it is the first movie of Thilakan after his official expulsion from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA).

A few days back, when the director announced the movie with Thilakan, his car was stoned by some miscreants to protest against his decision to work with the expelled veteran actor.
