July 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The modern day actor stylish Kichcha Sudeep and challenging star Darshan are waging a cold war so as to acquire rights for the movies. The two famous films Darling and Singam are made both in Telugu and Tamil and are perfect for both Sudeep and Darshan. Here begins the trouble.
The producers involved in the Kannada cinema industry are all set to pay an enormous amount of cash so as to acquire Suriya’s blockbuster entitled Singam. Likewise, the related producers of both Sudeep and Darshan are leaving no stones unturned to acquire the Kannada rights.
As per the sources and the latest buzz, the remake rights as offered by the producer of Singam stands at a whooping Rs.50 lakhs. This is in fact the first print cost of production of the high ranking art film director Dr Girish Kasaravalli. Awards are guaranteed in the movies that Dr Girish Kasaravalli directs, so the cold war for rights does have some justification.
As per the news, the right of the film Darling has been bagged by Sudeep’s producer. So who gets Singam? Debate is on!
