Rachelle Lefevre Joins “Off The Map”

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Rachelle Lefevre who won widespread accolades for her portrayal of Victoria in the 2008 hit flick “Twilight” as well as its sequel “New Moon,” is now all set to begin a new stint in her career. All the fans of the Canadian actress who were disappointing to know that she has been replaced in the latest installment of the “Twilight” saga, titled the “Eclipse” now have something to look forward to as the actress has reportedly joined the cast of an upcoming medical drama on ABC, “Off the Map.”
The television series has generated a lot of hype as it comes from the creator of the highly popular medical drama series on the same network “Grey’s Anatomy,” Shonda Rhimes. According to sources, “Off the Map” is scheduled to begin airing on ABC from next year behind the “Desperate Housewives” slot. In the show, the 31-year-old former “Twilight” star would be playing Eva, a missionary doctor who has wide knowledge of both international medicine as well as global health. Apart from Rachelle Lefevre, the upcoming ABC series would also feature Caroline Dhavernas, Enrique Murciano, Jason George, Valerie Cruz Jose Julian as well as Mamie Gummer in some of the other pivotal roles.
The premise of “Off the Map” is a bunch of medical practitioners work in a medical clinic located in a small town in South America and the challenges that they face every day owing to the shortage of staffs as well medical stocks in the clinic. Rachelle Lefevre plays one of the doctors who departs from the clinic after a romantic trouble with its founder.
