Jeremy Renner In “The Avengers”

LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- “The Hurt Locker” famed Jeremy Renner will play the role of Hawkeye in the upcoming film “The Avengers” which is set to hit the theaters in 2012. The director Joss Whedon has confirmed the news brushing aside all other speculations and rumors regarding the character of Hawkeye. The director has announced the whole star-cast yesterday where he said that Mark Ruffalo will play the role of Hulk, Jeremy Renner will play Hawkeye and the director also mentioned that the cast is more than he could have ever “dreamed” of working with.
Jeremy Renner seems to be the perfect choice for the bow and arrow holding superhero Hawkeye. The movie will be shot in Raleigh Studios and the director will begin filming it in February 2011. Joss Whedon in one of his interviews to a reputed media source said that he is putting together a “powerhouse cast” and he is writing and directing the movie. The veteran director did not disclose anything about the plot of “The Avengers” but said that there would be some avenging that would take place in the film.
Joss Whedon was excited when he said that Jeremy Renner would join “The Avengers” as Hawkeye and it is “exciting” for the rest of the cast as well. The “Serenity” director jokingly commented that he is excited to be among his powerhouse cast and hopes that they don’t kill each other as for the director that would be weird. The production house kept the star-cast under wraps to increase curiosity among the people, however, the media started anticipating before that Jeremy Renner will be chosen as Hawkeye. Now, with the truth being disclosed, Jeremy Renner fans have more reasons to rejoice.
