Katherine Theresa Replaces Poonam Kaur In Thriller

July 21, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): South Indian actress Poonam Kaur has been replaced by another model turned actress from Bangalore named Katherine Theresa, in director B. Unni Krishnan’s latest Malayalam movie Thriller. The actress has been frequently seen in Telugu films besides Tamil and Kannada films.

The fancy of Mollywood directors to have actresses from other languages in their movies, brought Poonam on the sets of Thriller. Kaur is very good at dancing and is a former Miss Andhra Pradesh. She was even trained by the lead actor of the film Prithvi for a whole day on good pronunciation of the Malayalam dialogues. But she could not meet their expectation. At the end of the day, the makers had to replace her with Katherine because of the poor lip sync of Poonam.

But the new heroine is also from another language and this time it will be interesting to see if they succeed in making her pronounce the dialogues correctly.

Prithviraj will be playing the role of a young IAS officer in Thriller, which is reportedly based on the murder case of Paul Muthoot.
