Mithun Chakraborty whose latest Bengali movie “Shukno Lanka” hit the theaters on Friday says that these days he acts in movies which are nothing but “potboilers”. Speaking about his new movie “Shukno Lanka” Mithun Chakraborty said that the movie has given him an incredible chance to trace back his days of struggle. Mithun Chakraborty was all in praises for his director Gaurav Pandey who shall direct the actor in his upcoming project “Spaghetti 24×7″ which is a Hindi movie in which Mithun Chakraborty essays the role of a security guard along with his son Mimoh. The movie is slotted for an October release this year.
Mithun Chakraborty who has already won three national awards has a huge fan-following in Bengal. He was escorted by the police when he arrived at the shooting location for “Shukno Lanka”. Kunal Mitra who passed away a few months back held Mithun Chakraborty in high respect and refused to act in a scene where Mithun Chakraborty had to massage Kunal Mitra’s feet. Before he made “Shukno Lanka”, Gaurav Pandey had directed Salman Khan, Aly Khan and Raveena Tandon in 2003 movie “Stumped”. Besides, he had also worked on the script of the movie “Anuranan” which was directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
