MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The movie “Tere Bin Laden” which takes a satirical dig at notorious al-Qaeda mastermind Osama Bin Laden has run into trouble in Pakistan. The Pakistani censor board has banned the release of the movie in Pakistan so that the hardliner terrorists do not get offended. The distributors are of the opinion that the release of the movie in the trouble torn country may result in another spat of terrorist attacks. Pakistani singer turned actor Ali Zafar is making his debut in Bollywood with this movie and the film has already generated a fair amount of hype before its release.
The actor is excited about the release of his film “Tere Bin Laden” in Bollywood which has got good pre- release review from the critics. He thinks that through films and music the two countries can strengthen their ties. The film’s director is Abhishek Sharma and the music has been given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. It is hitting the theaters in India today. The critics are of the opinion that the movie is a witty comedy that has a far better script and plot than many Bollywood potboilers.
“Tere Bin Laden” is a spoof on Osama Bin Laden. A news reporter who is hell bent on going to America uses an Osama Bin Laden lookalike and also makes a fake video with him. His plans go wayward and the comedy begins from there. Ali Zafar puts in a commendable performance in the film and the other actors also look convincing. It is expected to do well at multiplexes and small cities.
