Hendricks Still Angry Over Weight Comments

Actress CHRISTINA HENDRICKS is struggling to shrug off fashion critics’ hurtful comments about her voluptuous figure at the 2010 Golden Globes, insisting the negativity still overshadows the positive reaction she’s had to her curves.
The Mad Men star, 35, found herself at the centre of controversy after she wore a figure-hugging ball gown on the red carpet at the annual awards ceremony in January (10), when a writer for the New York Times said, “Big girls shouldn’t wear big dresses”.
The reporter was forced to apologise but Hendricks admits she is still fuming about the cruel criticism - months after her curves hit the headlines.
She tells the July/August issue of Health magazine, “I still remember all those negative comments, despite all the wonderful positivity.
“That’s why we’re all in therapy! (We remember) the 10 bad things that happen to us instead of the 100 nice ones.”
Hendricks admits she has previously had to force herself to go to the gym to keep fit and trim, but she’s learned to like working out.
She says, “I’ve had to train myself to get down to the gym. But what surprised me was that my husband said (the other day), ‘I’m going down to work out,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, I wish I was going.’ My friends will read this and be like, ‘No you didn’t', but it’s true!”
