Vijay and Suriya to launch Vamsam audio

June 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Followed by the grand success of his debut directorial ‘Pasanga’, filmmaker Pandiraj, is all set for the release of his next film ‘Vamsam’. Set in the backdrops of a hamlet in Southern Tamil Nadu, the film focalizes on a particular lineage as the title suggests. The film marks the debut of Arulnidhi, grandson of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Kalainyar M. Karunanidhi in the lead role while ‘Kadhalil Vizhundhen’ famed Sunaina stars opposite him as the female lead.
Being associated with the academy award winner A.R. Rahman for 14 long years, debutant Taj Noor scores music for the film with one of the songs in this album has filmmakers Sasikumar, Samuthirakkani and Pandiraj crooning together.
The film’s music will be released by CM Karunanidhi on July 2 at Sathyam Cinemas with actors Surya and Vijay receiving the first copies. Tamil Film Producers Council President Ramanarayanan, filmmaker-actor Sasikumar and lyric writer Vaali will also grace the occasion.
