Josie Duggar suffered a number of health problems that kept her away from home for six months after being born. She was born prematurely on December 10, 2009 by C-Section. At less than 2 pounds she was kept in the NICU for several months. She had digestive problems that were diagnosed to be lactose intolerance. On June 3 she was finally released after the doctors said that she was ready to go home. At that time, 12 other Duggar children contracted chicken pox and therefore Josie Duggar and her mother had to stay at a rented family house to avoid exposure of the new born to the virus. She is the 19th child of Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob who are part of one of the biggest families in America. They appear on the show ‘19 Kids and Counting’ that airs on TLC channel.
The Duggars are conservative Christians who live a debt free life in spite of the 19 children. Michelle Duggar revealed last month, while Josie Duggar was recovering, that she plans to have more children. She also said that at the age of 43 she was uncertain about the number of times she will be able to reproduce. The parents believe that children are the gift of God and they want to have as meant as God gives them.
