‘Hot In Cleveland’ Starring Betty White

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The fans of female oriented comedy have reasons to feel happy about. The first original sitcom of TV Land named Hot in Cleveland has hit the screen. This breezy comedy stars Betty White the actress who seems to get better with age! She will be essaying the role of a snappy caretaker in this sitcom as it has been reported. The reviews by the critics have been positive so far and for the fans of the 88 year old actress the chance to see her comic skills is the biggest reason to watch this comedy show. There is nothing exceptionally new about the show but the women belonging to a certain age group can definitely relate to it.

The story in Hot in Cleveland is quite interesting and it shows Jane Leeves , Wendie Malick and Valerie Bertinelli playing three different characters who are looking for a change in their respective lives. They are close friends and decide to undertake a trip to Paris. They have to reach Cleveland after a flight disruptions maker their plans go haywire. The place seems right for the trio as they find men getting attracted to them. Betty White essays the role of Elka a hilarious caretaker with a snappy temperament. She reminds one of the Golden Girl days even in 88.

In the last decade Betty White has acted in a number of flicks where her performances have drawn applause from the viewers and critics alike. However, her stint with TV dates back to the 1940s. It is expected that she will add another feather to her cap through Hot in Cleveland.

I watched the show and enjoyed it to a point. I have a problem with the casting of supporting actresses. I would have preferred (Roz Doyle - don’t know her name) from Frazier in place of Jane Leeves, and I think Wendy Malick is too old for this role. I loved Valerie Bertinelli and Betty White.
