LONDON - Simon Cowell is requesting England team bosses to play World Cup song in players’ dressing room, as he thinks that it will motivate the players.

The music mogul has joined hands with rapper Dizzee Rascal and James Corden to record “Shout For England”, to show their support for the England soccer team as they fight to make it to the finals of the tournament in South Africa.

After the team’s disappointing one-all draw in the opening game against the US, Cowell is adamant that the rousing anthem will boost their confidence.

“England needs this record right now. They should have played it in the dressing room at half-time (during the U.S.A. game),” the Daily Star quoted Cowell, as saying.

He added: “I’m actually serious. I’m going to try and get it played before the next match, in the dressing room.” (ANI)
