LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Tom Felton won the award in the category of the Best Villain in the MTV Movie Awards. In order to win in the category, he had to beat out stiff competition from big names, the likes of Helena Bonham Carter, Christoph Waltz, Stephen Lang and Ken Jeong. Incidentally, ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ got nominated in five categories in all, best film, Daniel Radcliffe for the best male performance and best global superstar, Tom Felton as the best villain and Emma Watson as the best female performance. It can be well understood that winning the award at the MTV Movie Awards was a great achievement for Tom Felton, considering that he beat out some of the best in the industry.
Tom Felton appeared to receive his award looking quite different from what he looked in the Harry Potter films, thanks to the fact that the platinum blond hair of Draco Malfoy had been replaced with a short golden crop. As he lifted up his award and expressed thanks, he explained the image makeover, saying that he had just wrapped up shooting for the final leg of the final film in the franchise, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.’
Tom Felton also went on to drop some hints about the final film in the franchise, saying that his girlfriend, who is a stunt assistant in the films, will be playing a cameo in the final one, paying the role of his wife, 19 years later, in the epilogue. He joked, saying that he did not get to sport a nice suave look as he played his older self, while his girlfriend was made to look really nice.
