12 Scriptwriters For Kaval Thurai
By SAMPURNTuesday, June 1, 2010
June 1, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Arun Vijay’s first innings in acting wasn’t really a commendable one as almost all his films flunked at the box office. However, his career was revived by his father-in-law Mohan and now he is set to work in his latest film Kaval Thurai, which is said to have a team of 12 scriptwriters.
Mohan laid his trust on the actor and produced a couple of films for Arun. The first film Malai Mala turned out to be an average grosser but distributors and theatre owners earned good profits.
In all likelihood, his recent release Maanja Velu is doing a great business and is getting appreciations. With the film carrying interesting star-casts like yesteryear actors Karthik and Prabhu, it has pulled the attention of more audiences.
Now, the same crew is all set for the filming of the next film titled Kaval Thurai, which is a pragmatic take on the contemporary police department. Actor Arun Vijay has admitted that the film will not carry any of the traces of the yesteryear cop stories.
The film is directed by A. Venkatesh and has a musical score by Mani Sharma.
Let’s hope, this team makes it a hat-trick.
