LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Conrad Bain was one of the stars in tinsel town to have spoken about the death of actor Gary Coleman, who passed away on Friday, after having been admitted in the hospital for a day with intercranial hemorrhage. The news had obviously come as a huge shock, not only to the members of the film fraternity, but also the fans of the popular series, “Diff’rent Strokes”. Other than Conrad Bain, Todd Bridges also spoke about his long time friend and co-star., In fact, both Todd Bridges and Conrad Bain had been co-stars of Gary Coleman in the hit television series, Diff’rent Strokes, in which the deceased actor played the part of Arnold Jackson, one of the two young African-American boys adopted by the family.
Conrad Bain’s association with Gary Coleman goes a long way back, right to the days of Diff’rent Strokes, in which he played the role of the adoptive father of the two kids, Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges. He says that he had been praying for the actor ever since he was informed about his illness, and expressed deep grief at the death of the actor.
Moreover, Conrad Bain also said that he had not been in touch with either Gary Coleman or with his wife for a very long time, several years to be precise, but that the distance had not shoved them out of his mind. He could recollect very well the spunky child actor on the sets of the popular series that had turned them into household names.
