Janet Jackson on American Idol 2010 Finale

Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) American Idol finale was held last night and we watched a performance by Janet Jackson. This special show was arranged to honor Simon Cowell, who is leaving American Idol.
Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox were the two finalists of the Season 9 of American Idol. Nationwide voting was performed to determine the winner. Though Crystal Bowersox delivered some outstanding performance at the final show, Lee DeWyze became the winner and was declared the next American Idol.
On the final show, Janet Jackson looked great with her new haircut. She was introduced by American Idol contestants with her single ‘Again’. She started by singing ‘Nothing’. After that, she went on to sing a rendition of ‘Nasty Boys’. Here is a video of her performance.
Though Janet Jackson is known for her music career, she started her career as an actress with the ‘Variety’ television series ‘The Jacksons’. She later performed on many other television series which included ‘Good Times’ and ‘Fame’. In 1982, at the age of sixteen, she signed a recording contract with A&M and released her self titled debut album. It was not received very well by the critics. She continued recording and received recognition for the innovation in her albums. She was acknowledged for her socially conscious lyrics. In 1991, she signed multi million dollar recording contracts with Virgin Records. Afterwards, she began to explore sexuality in her work. ‘All for you’ released in 2001, became her fifth consecutive hit album and she was named most successful recording artist of the decade.
