“Law And Order” Comes To An End!

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Another long-running series on NBC comes to an end. We are talking about the “Law and Order” crime drama which aired its final episode on the 24th of May. What was surprising to the viewers and fans of the popular series was the fact that they were given no prior information about the serial coming to an end. In fact the producers had made an earlier announcement that there would be a sequel to “Law and Order” titled “Law and Order: Los Angeles”. So most fans of the sitcom are expecting another new story to begin soon this fall season.
“Law and Order” is not the only series airing its final episode on NBC this month. Earlier it was “Lost” and “24″ which treaded the same path. According to reports, the ratings for the show had fallen by a large margin in the recent past, however it was not that low as to force the producers to pull curtains on its broadcast. Thus the “Law and Order” finale has not only shocked but also disappointed fans in the US.
The series is essentially an investigative drama which shows the New York Police Department in war with the criminals of the city. The last episode too featured the police authorities competing against the prosecutors, the episode also arriving at a conclusion which seemed favorable to the viewer. Thus we may safely say that the “Law and Order” final episode was a hit, with critics praising the final performance of the cast members. The audience is now hoping that “Law and Order” makes a comeback to American television soon.
