‘24′ Finale Keeps Fans Guessing

SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- Season 8 of the political-action series ‘24‘ has come to an end. The finale on Monday was marked by the complex and interesting romance between the two major characters Jack Bauer and Chloe O’Brian. Though Chloe O’Brian is married and Jack Bauer has gone through several disastrous relationships, the chemistry between the two is one of the show’s highlights.

In the ‘24′ finale Jack Bauer says his final farewell to Chloe O’Brian, in style, via a drone satellite. The two agents realize that killing the Russian president is not enough and the truth behind the treaty must be exposed to the media. They are stopped in their paths by Jason Pillar, who turns out to be a part of the conspiracy. President Taylor on the other hand has a sudden realization that stops him from signing the treaty and eventually save Jack Bauer from execution. Jack Bauer decides to flee the country and continues his run from the authorities.

The gripping series with nail-biting actions will be missed by the action fans. However, wrapping up of the 8th season may not just be enough according to rumor mills. The ending though was quite indicative of the feature film possibilities of the future. The show enjoyed a very long run in television history and also received its share of awards as well as criticism. ‘24′ won the Golden Globe Award in 2003 for Best Drama and Kiefer Sutherland who plays Jack Bauer won the Award in 2001 for ‘24: Redemption’. However, the show has also been criticized for its lack of character development and its commercial appeal.
