Hunchback Of Notre Dame On TCM

NEW YORK, (GaeaTimes.com)-TCM (Turner Classic Movies) shall feature a special event to honor Cedric Hardwicke as the channel plays one of his most sought after movies of all time; “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” on July 15, 2010. Regarded to be one of the immortal classics of all time by Victor Hugo “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” was adapted to be converted into a movie in the year of 1939. This was the very first iteration of the movie which had inspired many remakes witnessed by Hollywood in due course of time.
“The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” happens to be one of the most appealing stories of all time which is set against the backdrop of France in the fifteenth century. Brutality, superstitions, die hard inhibitions hanged round the corner of the society in those times like a milestone. Amidst such a scenario, the King’s high justice of order Jean Frollo (played by Cerick Hardwicke) is a perfect epitome of evil who makes one and all live in constant fear all the time. Esmeralda; a pretty gypsy dancer is tormented by the King’s men and she takes shelter in a church of Notre Dame where she comes cross the ugly looking hunchback Quasimodo.
Jean Frollo asks Quasimodo to bring back Esmeralda to the Kings men but she escapes the scene and lands up to meet soldier Phoebus with whom he falls in love. Jean Frollo kills Esmeralda’s lover and the blame falls on the girl. When she is ordered to be burnt to death, Hunchback Of Notre Dame; Quasimodo jumps in and caries her on his back up to the sanctuary of the church. In a tough tussle that follows it is the Hunchback Of Notre Dame Quasimodo who brings justice as he hurls Jean Frollo to his death.
