LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The ABC’s Friday night “20/20″ broth in front of the viewers the life of the fourth child of Diane Downs the Oregonian convict who shot her own children and killed one of them. She is still remembered by many as the monster mother of 1983 case. On Friday night the ABC show kept in front of the viewers the story of Rebecca Babcock, the girl who was born just after days her mother got convicted. The anchor of the not only interviewed Rebecca Babcock but also Jackie Babcock and Chris Babcock the adoptive parents of Diane Downs‘ girl.
In the feature story Jackie Babcock and Chris Babcock reveal how they felt when they first saw the new born Rebecca Babcock. Jackie Babcock said in the interview that Diane Downs‘ girl child was simply “adorable”, a child who was like a perfect little baby. However, Jackie Babcock and her husband did not disclose the biological identity of the girl and it was only Rebecca Babcock was 16 years old that she came to know of the truth. The fact of being the fourth child of Diane Downs had shattered the life of Rebecca Babcock as a 16 year-old girl and she remembered during the show how she felt coping up with the fact that she was basically born of a woman who had shot her own child dead.
This is for the first time perhaps that an investigative show had come up with the story of the fourth child of Diane Downs who tried to kill her children as the person she loved did not want them to be with her. Living the life with the knowledge that she was actually born of a convict is hard but Rebecca Babcock continues to live her life with her adoptive parents.
