NEW DELHI - After working with Aishwarya Rai in “Bride and Prejudice”, Britain-based Indian filmmaker Gurinder Chadha wants to cast Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

“There are many actors (from Bollywood) I’d like to work with. I think Aamir and Hrithik are great. And I’d love to work with Shah Rukh,” Chadha told IANS.

“The idea is I’ll have to come up with a script and a story that would really suit their talent and their standing. You just cant’ take them for any roles. They need roles specific to their calibre,” she added.

Chadha’s latest outing has been Shabana Azmi starrer “It’s A Wonderful Afterlife”.

My remuneration has become zero: Akshay Kumar

Infamous for his exorbitant fee, actor Akshay Kumar reveals after turning a producer with his banner Hari Om Productions that his fee has become zero.

“My remuneration has become zero now because I have become a producer. I make films, release them and whatever profit comes from it is mine. So I can’t charge myself to do a film,” Akshay, whose “Housfull” did a good business at the box office, told IANS.

“Moreover there is no stress when you become a producer of a film because there is no tag to what kind of money you are charging. What actually kills a producer is an actor’s remuneration. When it becomes zero there is no stress. The budget cuts down absolutely by more than half,” he said.

The star is currently co-producing Farah Khan’s “Tees Maar Khan”.

“Everything is ready for the show but I don’t want to start shooting it right now. I want to start a bit later or so.”

RGV quashes John’s lean up rumours for 3D venture

Ram Gopal Varma, who is going to start a 3D action-adventure film “Raksha” with John Abraham, has slammed reports that the actor has been asked to lean up for his role in the same.

“That’s not true. It’s all in a very nascent stage as of now and we haven’t yet finished the script yet. John is leaning up and all for the movie (mocking)… I don’t know even where do such rumours come from,” Varma told IANS.

Varma plans to roll on the movie by year-end.

Nikhil Dwivedi learns Marathi for ‘Arjun’ remake

Nikhil Dwivedi, who debuted with Shah Rukh Khan production “My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves”, is busy brushing on his Marathi skills for the remake of the Sunny Deol starrer 1985 hit “Arjun”.

The two-film-old is seeking help from theatre actor Rahul Awate to get into the skin of the character and get a correct twang and dialect.

“Yes, I am doing the remake of ‘Arjun’. The premise would be similar but the story would be completely different because the problems that we were facing in the mid 1980s aren’t relevant any more as there has been a huge shift in the society,” said Nikhil.

Industry sources say that though the concept and ethos of the film will be retained, the issues and treatment will reflect the current times.

Nikhil’s future projects also include “Raavan” and “Basra”.
